We expect another great year and are looking forward to having your child enjoy the season with Cape Elizabeth Soccer Club.

We have listed the key dates from registration until the start of the season for your information as we span the summer months and there are some important milestones between now and then. CESC does its very best to place all interested players onto teams according to the registration deadlines and adherence to Soccer Maine rules. From time to time, unfortunate situations arise where not all players can be added to teams. In this case, CESC will notify the families as soon as possible but no later than the final announcement of teams in mid-June.

March 31st at 12 noon – General Registration closes for all 2017 players and teams.

· Late Registration opens for U9 and U10 players until the end of April

· Late Registration opens for U11 to U12 players until April 14th where there are still available spaces according to Soccer Maine limits on team sizes and CESC discretion

· There is no late registration for U13 and U14 teams due to the challenges of staying within Soccer Maine required team sizes

April 2nd – first Assessment for U13 and U14 players plus those new to the club in age groups U11 and older

April 9th – make-up day for Assessment for U12 to U14 players and all players U11 and older who are new to the club

April 14th – Late registration ends for U11 and U12

· Late registration stays open until end of April for U9's and U10's as these team sizes are small and easier to fill which ensures positive seasons with young players and teams

May 7th - U9 Assessments and assessments for new U10 and U11 players to the club

May 14th week – U12 to U14 teams posted to CESC website

May 15th – Makeup Assessment night for all U9 players

June 16th – U9 to U11 teams announced

July 14th – Final date to cancel CESC registration. No refunds after this date. Dues, Names, and teams sent to Soccer Maine and uniforms ordered.

August 1st – final date for late registrations for special cases where there is available roster space according to Soccer Maine rules and approved by the CESC Board

August 14th to August 17th – CESC High School camp in the afternoons – 6 PM to 8 PM

August 27th – First league game

Special note for late registrations:

Up until August 25, CESC reserves the right to add players to the Club who have moved to Cape Elizabeth coming from out of town during or after the normal registration season. Once rosters freeze, the CESC Board will require permission from Soccer Maine to add players. If the request is approved by Soccer Maine, then the CESC Board can add the player. These additions are extended only for circumstances in which the new players would not have received registration information from CESC during the normal registration process. These cases are taken as they arise and considered based on individual circumstances, including the recommended team sizes from Soccer Maine. There is no guarantee that these players will be added to teams.

The Cape Elizabeth Soccer Club strives to provide soccer opportunities for the children of Cape Elizabeth to improve skills and sportsmanship in both developmental and competitive leagues. CESC adheres to the guiding principles established by Soccer Maine and strives to comply with the state organization's rules and philosophy.

We look forward to a great 2017 Fall season.
